We’re pleased to offer our summer externship for students underrepresented in medicine as part of our commitment to increasing diversity within medicine. The Association of American Medical Colleges defines underrepresented in medicine as “those racial and ethnic populations that are underrepresented in the medical profession relative to their numbers in the general population.”
Our goal is to provide motivated, interested preclinical medical students, or rising second-year medical students (MS-2), with in-depth exposure to clinical medicine early in their medical school education.
If you’re interested in experiencing clinical medicine in a dynamic setting, we encourage you to apply to our four-week summer externship. Our externship offers eight funded positions, which include housing and meals.
